There was a post on Facebook, and the topic was about God and there was a lot of controversy. But of course what would you expect when you post a question about Him. I replied though, in the best way I could. I hope my answer helped those who asked and maybe had the slightest positive effect on them... I tried my best... I prayed about it and this is what I wrote out (as I merge my comments together and make it blog friendly) ...
People wont go to Hell because God decided man to go there.
People will go to Hell because it was through their decisions that they would end up there.
The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And your
statement on throwing someone into Hell that you love well, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 The reason why God gave the Ten commandments is because he
wants to see good in our lives. He doesn't want to see us murder or go
through masturbation. God wants to show His love through everything. That's
why Adam wasn't alone and God gave him Eve, so they can have perfect
intimacy with each other through Gods love. That's how God created it to
be. When people masturbate it's only for a moment that they have
pleasure, but with a spouse, God can move and work through that and show
you His perfect love that He intended for you to experience. But when
two people aren't married and they have sexual relations with each other,
there is no blessing and therefore, will not experience the goodness as
what they do is an abomination unto the Lord. Everyone is subjected to
there own opinions, yes. But when you look at nature, you notice that in
nature, every little thing has it's own design. Everything, diverse.
The galaxy that you look up to at night that makes you feel so small.
The infinite vast sky reflect the sunlight, as it paints perfectly upon
the clouds. Every little hair and design of spot and pattern on a
cheetah. The way the body functions as a whole and how perfect the
process of a mother giving life to a newborn. The wonders upon wonders
of how everything is fearfully and wonderfully made. Through these
things, God's love is evident. Through what perfect love were we
created for? To dwell and be with God in Heaven. Through that, I see in
no way how just "by chance" we got here.
You
might ask, so why is there so many bad things in this world? How could
God allow these things to happen? Well, it wasn't that God chose man to
be this way, man chose for himself to disobey. After a time, God gave
people free will to make their own
decisions. Satan rebelled against God and wanted to be better than Him.
Satan influenced Adam and Eve to go against Him. I especially do not
doubt that even the people in the music industry are influenced by
Satan. But can't God stop the evil if He is God? Well God gave his only
son to die for our sins. That was His way of allowing people to turn
from their worldly influences upon evil and turn to Christ as their Lord
and Savior. Even the very reason why they called Christ their Savior is
because they saved them and captured their hearts from ever doing evil
again so they may have the beautiful option to go to Heaven and be with
Him.
I
believe that in looking at things like the universe, nature, and all
natural life, one can see Gods hand in creation; and with that absolute
love. I do not believe this defiles Christianity. However, it may to some that call themselves "Christians"
as even some Christians have doubts. Those who have accepted Jesus into
their hearts and truly choose to walk with Him daily, study the bible, I
believe will have no objection to this. Yes, God loves humans, God
said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them
have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping
thing that creepeth upon the earth." Genesis 1:26 So that is very true. (For God loving humans more than animals) I do not
believe however, that the universe "revolves" around us. Everything
under the sun, yes, but not the galaxy or the galaxies out there. God
created planets for his own purposes, not for ours. You are right, this
"God" may have never taught you, specifically. However
man's interpretations cannot fully express or describe such things as
they are but humans that merely look out and view the vastness. Humans
do not have the capability to go "outside" the universe themselves
because humans are again, but humans. We can send as much astronauts to
the moon and to mars and to many other stars, but we can't send them
outside the universe to view it as a whole. We can have scientists,
researchers and many others prove that "God" doesn't exist. But how can
science really prove it when science is used by man? My whole point in explaining this vastness, was to show that nothing can simply
"exist" without a creator. You look at the designs on a leaf or even the
smallest creature and tell me there is no one who created it it. We are
but a speck in God's creation. I can't believe in evolution or the big
bang theory for example because they are just theories. I do believe in
the bible and in what it says for example because even the bible dates
back further than any other religion in the world. There is even so many
historical events that have happened that are even in the bible and
aligns perfectly with it! But going back what "God" hasn't taught you,
well, God doesn't necessarily "teach" those who don't seek Him. God
says, "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me
with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13 So God doesn't draw near to you at all if you
don't think he exists. God doesn't "spontaneously" teach those who don't
love Him with all their hearts. And God certainly will not force
Himself upon anyone.
Please share this and give your feedback. I don't have all the answers and I am no scholar, as I am 18 years old and still learning new things! These are just my perspectives and what I believe God has pressed upon my heart to share. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though, and I recommend that when you share something about God or Jesus, it's not something you should do with judgement or condemnation. As a Christian and lover of Jesus, we need to answer these questions as humbly as we can. There were some topics I mentioned that I didn't quite go a lot into but I was just trying to make a point and didn't want it to be a distraction so I tried my best to make it simple... Hopefully it was. Anyway, thank you all so very much for reading! God bless! (:
